This truly magnificent dress is from Spring'15 runway collection by the late and great Oscar de la Renta, the master of opulent elegance! Exactly as worn by Jennifer Lawrence (she swapped the belt that came with the dress and added her own belt) and which landed her on best-dressed lists. It is perfect for a wedding or a beautiful reception! It looks stunning in real life and in pictures. Note that this dress is very versatile: for a wedding, it can be worn with the thin tonal fabric (leather backing) belt that came with the dress or worn without a belt or a sparkly belt. Or, add an edgy belt, like Jennifer did, and wear it again for an event.
The dress is made of intricate lace in floral pattern at the outer level with spaghetti straps lining at the top and multiple layers of fabric to keep the full beautiful shape at the skirt -- please see detailed pics! It is a masterpiece of design and construction: fitted top part with a bateau neckline; fitted at the waist and flares out at the skirt part, please see the seam in the middle of the skirt part to ensure beautiful volume. The belt that came with the dress is of tonal fabric, with leather backing and a buckle in front. The dress is supremely flattering and easy to wear. Full sleeves with a button each add a special touch.
The dress for sale (lying flat) is the same as on Jennifer and on the runway (except the belt, as she swapped the one that came with it to the one sold separately).
Dress size: 6US, but I believe it would work for 4US as well. I wore it once to an event and then dry cleaned. No signs of wear, except fading on the composition tag.
